Next week, August 9th-15th, will mark the first week of "Weekly Walks at Lunch", an initiative that focuses on getting people up, out, and active during their lunch hour. The following information is being sent out to all JCC and HSC employees:

Weekly Walks at Lunch:

Do you like walking? The outdoors? Social environments? To go along with the Concession Street Walks project, Environment Hamilton will be hosting special lunchtime walks twice a week for those at the Juravinski Cancer Center and the Henderson Hospital. Concession Street Walks is an Environment Hamilton project that aims to encourage sustainable transportation (walking, biking, public transit) and improve the walkability of neighbourhoods around Concession Street.

Weekly Walks at Lunch is meant to provide individuals an opportunity to get up, get out, and get active during lunchtime. The luncheon walks are free of charge, and there will be giveaways for those who come out. Come out to enjoy the fresh air, the summer sun, and to get active! Any and all are welcome to join. Pack a lunch, enjoy a midday walk, and eat amongst friends.
